This is the article, along with a tweet from Zeldman and insistence from Elaine, that made me join Twitter. It's very true! And I like Twitter much more than I ever would have expected.

The web is a conversation, but not always a productive one. Web discussions too often degenerate into whines, jabs, sour grapes, and one-upmanship. How can we transform discussion forums and comment sections from shooting ranges into arenas of collaboration?

There are SO many social media sites out there, I thought I'd start a list with commentary and articles on some of them. Bookmarking, like Diigo, of course is just one type, there are also cataloging sites (books, music, movies), list sites (goals, top5s), profiles, blogs, forums, etc.
