Wow - I've been out of the web design pipeline for a bit, and somehow missed this awesome resource! Podcasts, videos, all with amazing leaders of the field. It's like going to An Event Apart, but free!

This makes sense, and I do this. I think I'll turn off email and chat, close Facebook... wait... then what will I do on the computer? :)

"...our inability and refusal to contend with the underlying biases of the programs and networks we all use is less a threat to our military or economic superiority than to our experience and autonomy as people."
A kind of weird article - overstates the case by quite a bit, I'd say, but still makes a valid point about learning programming. Also explains why most hackers seem to come from Russia - ha.

I need this to clear my credential before 2010 (unless I can get it waived)
Wouldn't it be great if you could become invisible whenever you wanted? Harry Potter can do it, and so could certain groups of futuristic creatures on "Star Trek."
Wow - first teleportation, now invisibility/cloaking, next force fields... did I wander into a scifi movie set?
