XML Plant list generator, among other things. Neat tool!
Good resource for designing nicer Facebook "Pages" with nice interfaces - such as adding RSS feeds, custom landing pages/info pages, etc.

How to turn off the frigging annoying horizontal scrolling of the Apple "Magic Mouse" - THANK YOU! (it's a terminal script: defaults write "com.apple.driver.AppleBluetoothMultitouch.mouse MouseHorizontalScroll -bool NO" - just change NO to YES if you, for some random reason, want to reactivate this incredibly annoying "feature"!)
This is the most awesome thing ever!! I like to READ my webpages - and some designs make that harder, not easier. With the Readability bookmarklet in all my browsers, a great online reading experience, minus flashing, animated ads, distracting content, poor backgrounds, tiny font size, etc is a click away. As a bonus, it creates a great print style sheet so I don't need to waste time trimming pages to print properly, if needed. Highly recommended!!
Nice. I could have used this cleaning up the FrontPage generated site I'm redesigning!
An updated explanation with reference to a great tool that makes CSS Sprites super easy - SpriteMe http://spriteme.org/
Great tool for testing new themes without disrupting your site!

This has excellent, simple, to the point explanations about all kinds of useful code snippets. Plus, it's the simplest explanation of "the loop" I've seen, making it all suddenly more clear. A good starting point with the basics for creating and editing themes and templates in WordPress.

Fantastic rant about an anti-technology "study" - which was sorely lacking in sense. Clay is one of my favorite bloggers, about education and politics and life in general, and this is one of his best rants - his other blog is all about fighting "schooly-ness" in education, and he continues that theme here. READ THIS if you want to use technology in the classroom!

two examples showing how blind the UCLA research was to today's possibilities, how behind the times.... It's easy, efficient, and turbo-effective literacy, research, and information management. It's unique to the Berners-Lee Age. Gutenberg would have loved it. Some high-profile "researchers" apparently know little of it.
