  • Diigolet is not as feature-rich as the Diigo toolbar, but it can be set-up by simple drag-and-drop - no download or installation needed, and it works for all major browsers.

Neat idea - woot and all that. Would be wary of putting anything I really wanted to keep on here as it all seems centralized. Maybe some distributed system would be better.

      cool
  • lthough not as powerful as the Diigo toolbar, Diigolet (a browser button) provides an alternative and easy solution to do all the basic "Diigo" functions, ie. highlight, annotate, bookmark and forward without a download.

I think I like the Diigolet more than the full toolbar!

Can I have the Diigolet on my site so that people can see and contribute comments?
    • on 2007-04-22 11:08:32 Soulgrind
Wish the digolet would let us post to delicious, etc..
The toolbar is cool'n'all.. but in general i hate adding too many toolbars to my browser.. it takes up space..and its hard to use on other machines.. the digolet would be a much better alternativ if it just posted to other sites as well...

The toolbar is nice, but not plausable, unless you don't use Firefox to its full potential. The point to Firefox is to be efficient. Another toolbar just creates clutter. However the toolbar does allow you to remove certain ones you don't need. Now if the Diigolet containd all the same features as the toolbar it would be great.

      Example
Clikc the diigolet, and the window popus up as usually. Default you see 2 tabs, how about a 3rd, 4th, 5th, etc. Where each tab represents the other buttons. Or as with the Highlight & Sticky put it in the right-clik context menu.

The Clip tool don't see a real use to it yet, but I am still trying out Diigo

Remember that you can have the toolbar loaded without displaying it. So you get all the features of the toolbar, without loosing the real estate.

    • on 2007-07-20 17:11:30 Marcell
it is better for society when people use free software (open source) instead the closed source one.. especially when free software is better in doing the same job...

that's mostly why people prefer firefox to ie when it is not just about technical excellence.. you don't need to agree.. it is your choice..
    • on 2007-07-26 18:45:50 Jimstroud
