Using WebNotes and Diigo Annotation Tools for PR on 2009-05-20

Diigo is clearly superior, however, I do miss the PDF option and the files organizing.

Diigo, on the other hand, has pretty similar features, with the only difference that it doesn’t allow the users to generate PDF reports (but I don’t worry: Diigo could, at any time, add this feature, which will definitely put WebNotes out of business).

Do you ever get a little worried about where your children are surfing on the internet? I am constantly amazed at sites my kindergartener can get to when I turn my back for a moment. Luckily, my children haven't gotten into inappropriate sites but I don't want to take any chances. We ran a story this morning about a new browser that can restrict where children go and make you feel a little more at ease.

Google's brand ads ban lifted.

Surprisingly, one day after this report, on May 14, AdAge published an article that read: Google Lifts Ban on Trademark Terms for Search Ads. In free translation, that means that anyone can now use a trademark as a keyword in the AdWords copy (will go into effect June 15). Till now only brand owners were allowed to buy ads that included trademarks – but now, any retailer will be allowed to use registered trademarks to attract customers to their sites.

Diigolet | Diigo on 2009-05-20

Diigolet is not as feature-rich as the Diigo toolbar, but it can be set-up by simple drag-and-drop - no download or installation needed, and it works for all major browsers. Much more powerful than bookmarklets offered by other social bookmarking sites, Diigolet is a "super bookmarklet" that allows you to highlight and add sticky-notes, in addition to simple bookmarking.
