'The Collection is made up of books, music scores, photographs and other sources of information about the history, culture and music of the Borders area. It is particularly strong in Northumbrian pipe music and ballads.
An Honorary Librarian, Fiona Lockhart runs the Library with assistance from 6 volunteers. Anyone wishing to explore the Collection is welcome.'
'The E.T. Bryant Memorial Prize is awarded to a student of Library and Information Science, or to a librarian in their first five years in music librarianship, for a significant contribution to the literature of music librarianship. Publication does not preclude entry. The prize is £250, awarded jointly by IAML(UK & Irl) and the Music Libraries Trust ...'
