Rien de nouveau dans ce Serious Games puisqu’il a déjà fait parler beaucoup de lui sur la Toile, si ce n’est que je n’avais pas encore eu l’occasion de le tester. En effet, la liste des Serious Games se prolifèrent à grande vitesse et pour être à la page, il faudrait plus d’un article par jour. Nombreuses personnes d’ailleurs m’écrivent en me demandant pourquoi je n’ai pas encore parlé de tel ou tel jeu et je me dois de leur répondre que je possède une liste de liens de plus de 10 pages en attente. Bref…
Darfur is Dying est un Serious Game réalisé en flash par 5 étudiants de l’université de la Californie méridionale suite à un concours qui avait été lancé par mt vU pour tenter de sensibiliser les gens sur l’importance de cesser la guerre civile au Darfour mettant le peuple dans des conditions invraisemblables.
Le joueur prend la place d’un membre d’une famille habitant Darfour où il devra gérer pendant 7 jours un camp de réfugiés en prenant en charge l’approvisionnement en eau potable et en évitant les milices Janjawids.
Dans la première partie, vous devrez choisir un des 8 membres d’une famille soit le père, la mère ou l’un des 6 enfants âgés de 10 à 14 ans pour tenter d’aller chercher de l’eau dans un puits en traversant le désert et en évitant de se faire attraper par la milice. Vous vous déplacerez à l’aide des flèches de direction du clavier et utiliserez la barre d’espace pour vous cacher derrière les différentes pierres. Pour chacun des membres, vous aurez des renseignements sur leur devenir s’ils se font arrêter. Ainsi, les hommes évitent cette tâche car il y a de fortes chances pour qu’ils n’en sortent pas vivants.
