Adrienne AumellThis website is a good source for high school students because it is often updated and has been up for almost 20 years. The material is easily accessible and readable. There are a lot of animations that will help students understand different topics involvoing cells. The only problem with this site is the authority. The people running the site allows us to contact them, but we do not know what science background they have.
This site would be better for individual student research. This site is more informative but still interactive at the same time. -

The site has been available continuously and updated annually since May of 1994 and now hosts over 4 million visitors a year. All text, images, and layout are provided by me, Jim Sullivan (resumé) shown here with Boo and Bella. Every effort has been made to minimize errors or typos, but any you find on these pages are my doing as well.
The majority of the site is free of cost and registration for anyone with internet access. With up to 25,000 visitors a day during the school year, hosting costs are an issue. Students and teachers who purchase CDROMs and downloads for classroom use make this possible.

CELLS alive is an educational website that is designed for teachers and students. The purpose of the website is to use interactive technology to teach students about cell biology subjects.
Content:
This website has a lot of good content on it. The author of the website is clearly identified and his credentials are enough to author this site. The information seems actuate but a clear updated date is not displayed. The information on this sight would be very helpful for a struggling student and also as a resource for a science teacher looking for a visual way to represent this material. The Cell Cams are especially interesting, providing a real life representation for students to see.
Design: This site is very well designed. It is colorful and very easy to understand. This would be able to be used by young students as well as older teachers. The content is well displayed and very easy to see. Navigation of this sight is self explanatory and does not seem confusing. The author’s information is also very easy to get to. Contact information for questions and more information is also easy to get to.Cells Animations Biology Teaching Tools interactive education
