Rhizomatic Learning – Why we teach?

"I’ve been talking about rhizomes and learning for about five years now. I have spent the better part of the last three months trying to collect all those thoughts together and organize them ‘properly.’ The problem with that, of course, is that the whole idea of rhizomatic learning is to acknowledge that learners come from different contexts, that they need different things, and that presuming you know what those things are is like believing in magic. It is a commitment to multiple paths. Organizing a conversation, a course, a meeting or anything else to be rhizomatic involves creating a context, maybe some boundaries, within which a conversation can grow."

How Sydney educators are building ‘AI doubles’ of themselves to help their students

"If you had an ‘AI double’ of yourself, what would you tell that clone to do? This is a question we’ve posed to over 100 educators at Sydney over the past few weeks, when introducing them to Sydney’s new generative AI platform, Cogniti. We see generative AI as a powerful way to support teachers and their teaching, not supplant them. We’ve all been in the position where we’ve thought to ourselves, “If only I could clone myself… I would then be able to X for my students”."

The Rise Of ‘Office Peacocking’ In The Workplace In 2024

"Major companies have forced return-to-office (RTO) mandates and then switched their positions after employee pushback. That pushback led some companies to implement work-from-anywhere policies that reduced turnover and a four-day work week that resulted in an increase in productivity.

It seems impossible to keep up with some of the these trends—one of which is “office peacocking”—companies trying to lure employees back to the office with fancy decor, stocked kitchens and comfortable furniture."
