About this list
Screencasting is the process of recording what is shown on your screen as you narrate verbally to create a video that can be shared with others. Depending on how much control you want to have over length, editing, perfecting, special effects, you can choose free online tools (with some limitations) or pay for upgrades to online tools (for fewer limitations) or pay more for software to install on your computer (for maximum control and flexibility).
