• “the deliberate or reckless representation of another’s words, thoughts, or ideas as one’s own without attribution in connection with submission of academic work, whether graded or otherwise.”

• All of the following are considered plagiarism:

  • turning in someone else's work as your own
  • copying words or ideas from someone else without giving credit
  • failing to put a quotation in quotation marks
  • giving incorrect information about the source of a quotation
  • changing words but copying the sentence structure of a source without giving credit
  • copying so many words or ideas from a source that it makes up the majority of your work, whether you give credit or not (see our section on "fair use" rules)

• Plagiarism is the act of taking another person's writing, conversation, song, or even idea and   passing it off as your own. This includes information from web pages, books, songs, television shows,   email messages, interviews, articles, artworks or any other medium.

• critical thinking is the process of evaluating what other people say or write to determine whether to believe their statements.

• Critical thinking is the intellectually disciplined process of actively and skillfully conceptualizing, applying, analyzing, synthesizing, and/or evaluating information gathered from, or generated by, observation, experience, reflection, reasoning, or communication, as a guide to belief and action. In its exemplary form, it is based on universal intellectual values that transcend subject matter divisions: clarity, accuracy, precision, consistency, relevance, sound evidence, good reasons, depth, breadth, and fairness.

• Digital Security is simply about being secure about everthing that is electronic.
• For example, when you begin to learn about computers and the internet, you are taught to not reveal any personal information, like your full name and contact numbers. Then, on a later stage, you are taught about anti-virus software; and how it works. It basically does it's best to keep your electronical devices free from viruses.

• "Are you who you say you are?" and "Is my data safe with you?"

   

  Digital Security means answering those questions with solutions that  protect and enhance digital identities, assets and interactions.

• When on social media platforms, students can express themselves in creative ways, in order to make a statement; align themselves with a group or belief; share information or their whereabouts; or to explain their mood, feelings, thoughts, reflections, or frustrations. This creative expression most certainly creates an online persona that is representative of the individual. This persona, brand, or digital identity, whether accurately or poorly portrayed

• A digital identity is an online or networked identity adopted or claimed in cyberspace by an individual, organization or electronic device. These users may also project more than one digital identity through multiple communities. In terms of digital identity management, key areas of concern are security and privacy.

• Digital Identity and Reputation Management consists of the ongoing monitoring and analysis of the online reputation for a brand or individual as represented by all media types across the Social Web.

    A digital citizen is one who knows what is right and wrong, exhibits intelligent technology behavior, and makes good choices when using technology.

• Digital Citizenship is a concept which helps teachers, technology leaders and parents to understand what students/children/technology users should know to use technology appropriately.
• Digital citizenship is the norms of appropriate, responsible technology use.

• Digital citizenship is usually defined as the "norms of behavior with regard to technology use." It encompasses digital literacy, ethics, etiquette, online safety, norms, rights, culture and more. Microsoft recognizes that good digital citizenship, when you use computers, gaming consoles, or mobile devices, promotes a safer online environment for all.

• The ability to use digital technology, communication tools or networks to locate, evaluate, use and create information.
• The ability to understand and use information in multiple formats from a wide range of sources when it is presented via computers.
• According to The National Association for Media Literacy Education, media literacy is seen to consist of a series of communication competencies, including the ability to ACCESS, ANALYZE, EVALUATE, and COMMUNICATE information in a variety of forms, including print and non-print messages

• A digitally literate person can use technology strategically to find and evaluate information, connect and collaborate with others, produce and share original content, and use the Internet and technology tools to achieve many academic, professional, and personal goals.

• Those requirements and freedoms extended to everyone in a digital world
