    • Diigo has taken social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace to the next level, offering not only a way to connect with people but a way to compile research and engage in the research done by others.
    • On the bookmarked page itself, users can highlight text and add sticky notes so that annotations and important passages can be recalled later; these user additions to the webpage are saved along with the site itself so that when the bookmark is pulled up, the highlighting and notes are found too!

    Here's a great example of how to leverage content by publishing in multiple venues. This post is based on a word processed review of Diigo. By publishing this on your blog you re-purpose the original work and connect to a global audience. This shows me your ability to extend your thinking by working with Web 2.0 tools. Even more important is that you've done this spontaneously, without a specific assignment. Bravo!

    • Diingo is an interesting and useful web tool that saves your bookmarks (the website kind!) and allows you to access them anywhere (assuming “anywhere” has internet). You can also share your bookmarks with friends and other users through the use of groups or network navigation (that is searching through your networks. Its basically a social networking site which allows you to share bookmarks. Not only does let you just share a bookmark, it also lets you highlight texts on web sites and place sticky notes for others to find. But don’t worry, these features do not permenantly stay on the web sites, just when diigo is running. This is a perfect example of the NETS 3a, which states:
