    It is easier to understand the subconsciousness by understanding the levels of awareness. There are two general levels that most people are aware of— the conscious and the subconscious. The conscious level of awareness is what we obviously know, think or intend to act on at any given moment. One is completely aware of the thought, move towards an action or react to surroundings. The subconscious is that level of awareness which we all have but is outside an individual’s current awareness. This does not mean that the subconscious mind is an useless and dormant part of us. The subconsciousness contains many years of experiences, memories and principles that guide and influence us. Most people are not even aware of this influence or how powerful it is.

    Think about your subconscious mind as a large warehouse. When you are a child, every word, action, feeling, impression, opinion, etc. you hear from your parents or other authority figures go to this warehouse "as is". As a child, you're not capable of verifying all these information - you just store them. However, it is very often that some what you stored in your subconsciousness during your childhood, will damage your adult life and prevent you from reaching your full potential.
