Smithsonian Education - Online Education Conference - Climate Change
Have you ever wanted to meet one of the Smithsonian’s curators? Or wished you could ask a question of one of our researchers? In February 2009 the Smithsonian launched a series of online education conferences that let you do just that. In each online conference you can interact with Smithsonian experts in subject areas that interest you. All conferences have a single theme or topic explored through the lens of several different disciplines. The program includes both general interest sessions and sessions intended especially for teachers. -

"Scholastic and Turtle Pond Interactive invite you and your class on a virtual field trip to an aquarium in Florida! This live event will introduce children worldwide to an extraordinary and inspiring bottlenose dolphin named Winter.
Winter was just three months old when she lost her tail after it became caught and mangled in a crab trap. During this 45-minute webcast, your students will learn about marine wildlife as well as invaluable lessons in resilience, compassion, and friendship.
