"Because of the huge price tag, donations and sponsorships for RAAM expenses would be welcomed and appreciated. It may be possible, but very difficult, to do RAAM for less. Our plan is to keep the crew relatively small and only include essential items. We find ways to minimize expenses such as food and hotel rooms, but still know that miscellaneous expenses will add to the overall total. Some assumptions have still been made about what things will cost, but this is what we are expecting based on the two previous crossings and current gas costs: o 10 Crew (4 crew members for each of the two racer vans ; plus two crew for support van) o East Coast support van Rental is driven 6,600 miles o 3 nights at the Start (Oceanside, CA) for preparations o 2 nights at the Finish (Annapolis, MD) o 10 Crew members flying to the start and home from the finish"
