Quote to Think On

Hi all.

I saw this quote today and thought of you:

“When students see a list of problems, all of the same kind, they know the strategy to use before they even read the problem. That’s like riding a bike with training wheels.” -- Doug Rohrer

This underscores the idea that it's more important to teach students how to think than it is to teach them how to react autonomically -- without thinking.
