Initially just for photos, and with only 5GB of free space, sharpcast is still pretty interesting. Basically it's online storage for your files, with sharing built in via a buddy system, and albums automatically generated ... but most significantly, it uploads and syncs in the background, so you don't have to wait.

Honestly, this is a lot like Picasa + Hello + Web Storage ... with automatic synchronization built in so if you upload your photos from a friend's computer on vacation, it will sync them down to your desktop at home.
