    • here's just simply too much "friending" that exists on the web right now, and going and searching for your friends with every single new service that pops up is annoying and repetitive, so not requiring the user to do that was of utmost importance.

  I haven't tried Socialthing! yet but according to this article it's far more useful and efficient than FriendFeed in many ways. We don't need another social network or friend network but need a pure aggregator which enables us to do many commentings and interactions with existing friends in ONE PLACE. Socialthing! may be the place. Will it become the platform?
