  In my opinion, Mahalo seems to subvert the increased "horizontalism" of the web2.0 environment in favor of the previous vertical models characteristic of the "former" web. Why not create a search engine that organizes itself based on the summation of users' web searching behavior in combination with other over-my-head algorithms that could perhaps determine the integrity of a site based on specific values. This poses problems, I suppose, since whoever determines these values has a considerable amount of control over the organization of the content. Maybe each user could determine their own values? Be their own Guide?
