I selected this tool because it is one of the best sources of historical materials in a wide variety of formats (text, visual, audio) that is available. There are materials here in formats that would appeal to almost any style of learning. It is a tremendous resource for research - both for students and teachers.
One example of how I might use it is in the "Performing Arts Encyclopedia" - it is a collection of materials that would allow students who best express themselves in artistic fashion access to a huge archive a historical material. The music collections from a wide variety of time periods are very useful for students who are artistically expressive to work in a variety of historical time periods.
This resource would clearly align with the needs of my learning environment because of the wide variety of media in which material can be found.
