Claudia LópezLa OIM, una Organización intergubernamental creada en 1951, está consagrada al principio de que la migración en condiciones humanas y de forma ordenada beneficia a los migrantes y a la sociedad. De esta forma, la OIM pretende hacer frente a los desafíos que plantea la migración velando por el respeto de los derechos de los emigrantes. A nivel mundial, la OIM cuenta con 16 Misiones con Funciones Regionales (MFR) que sirven de centros de recursos y de apoyo a las Misiones en los Países y a las Misiones con Propósitos Especiales en la región y que, además, proveen la pericia operativa necesaria para el desarrollo y puesta en práctica de proyectos.
