Remmie The WombatThese packages for Apache, MySQL and PHP are much newer versions that what is available through the official Debian testing distribution. Finally I get to have MySQL subqueries!

DotDeb is an unofficial repository for the stable Debian GNU/Linux distribution. Its goal is to turn your Debian box into a reliable and performant LAMP platform, by providing up-to-date PHP and MySQL packages. You can see the output of the phpinfo() function for PHP4 and PHP5. How does it work? Just add the following line to your /etc/apt/sources.list file : deb http://packages.dotdeb.org ./ If you want to fetch the sources of the packages, add the following line to your /etc/apt/sources.list file and launch apt-get source (this is a beta feature that might not work for all the packages) : deb-src http://sources.dotdeb.org ./
