  DSL linux boot floppy

  • download the appropriate floppy image file:

    • this diskette can boot up on a QEMU '-M isapc' or '-M pc' but isapc will make a 0xc0000005 fault. So have to use pc.

  • First, go to the DSL download site [1] and download the appropriate floppy image file: 

     

         bootfloppy.img 

  •  If you are already using linux, you can easily create the boot floppy disk with this command: 

     

         dd if=bootfloppy.img of=/dev/fd0
