Antonio TomboliniOk, l'iniziativa è lodevole, ci mancherebbe altro. Ma a ragionare sull'essenza dell'operazione, non si può che restare perplessi.
Ecco come stanno le cose: Harper Collins, su Authonomy.com, invita autori a caricare il manoscritto integrale dei propri inediti. Li rende leggibili a tutti, così che tutti possano votarli, poi legge quelli più votati, e magari decide di pubblicarli (di carta).
Ha senso tutto ciò? Nell'immediato forse sì, ma guardando solo un po' più in là... Cosa vuol dire "uploadare" un libro e offrirlo alla lettura di tutti se non averlo già "pubblicato"?
E se lo scopo dell'operazione consiste nel selezionare da questi manoscritti quelli che verranno poi "pubblicati davvero" (nel senso di "di carta"), cosa succede poi? Vengono tolti dalla fruizione digitale (peraltro ad oggi artatamente limitata con impossibilità di download e di copia-incolla)? Cioè, si crea un sito per "aprire" alla fruizione universale un libro, e poi se questo è "davvero buono" lo si "rinchiude" di nuovo nel circuito dei libri di carta? Boh, qualcosa non mi torna. -
