Patti Porto"ASLPro.com was created to be a free resource for the classroom teacher. Teachers can create accounts and personalize a quiz for their students' use, then take them into a lab and let them practice seeing models other than their own teacher. Because our signs are designed to be used in student quizzes, Non-Manual Signals are purposefully omitted."

American Sign Language is a way for students who cannot speak or verbally communicate to communicate in a physical way. This physical language, which has its own grammar and symbols helps deaf or people who cannot verbally speak be able to communicate with others. -

Jenn FriessASL Pro is a great resource for learning phrases and the alphabet in American Sign Language. It includes video's of how to correctly sign certain words and phrases. For a teacher it can be particularly useful to create an inclusive environment for children who are deaf or hard of hearing and use ASL. To have an "ASL" phrase or word of the day can be fun for the whole class.

We welcome the general public to view our site, but it should be noted that this site is not designed to be a stand alone learning tool. A user's best course of action is to enroll in an ASL class with a qualified teacher who can guide them in such variations as regional differences and facial expressions that are not addressed in our video database. -
