The software is very simple to use, and requires much less training than other CMS/LMS products. It has many features built-in to the product that other companies require you to purchase as separate modules, so it is very powerful and affordable compared to the competition. While the software is not explicitly "open source," customers are given all of the source code and database schema and are not typically discouraged from modifying the source code. They even provide a programmer's guide to help you make customizations to the software.
