juliemallen9When integrating technology into a course or other learning experience, one needs to consider whether users who have a disability or who use assistive technology will be able to use the technology. Every educational technologist should be familiar with WCAG and use the standards to determine if the technology is appropriate and how the instructor might be able to make accommodations for students.

jayemudd"The following is NOT the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. It is, however, a simple checklist that presents our recommendations for implementing HTML-related principles and techniques for those seeking WCAG 2.0 conformance. The language used here is quite different from the official WCAG 2.0 specification (http://www.w3.org/TR/WCAG20/) to make it easier to implement and verify for web pages."
