peajayAlthough most wikis in science education seem to be created by teachers for teachers, Science Alive! was created by two middle school students for the benefit of other students. For each experiment they undergo, students write an introduction to the experiment, an overview of previous knowledge about the topic, discuss thoughts and questions from themselves and others, and talk about what they have learned in the experiment

Mallory BurtonA great example of a wiki used in a science class. The teacher posts assignments on the main page and the students create individual pages for their projects.

Welcome to our Science Alive project!
We are students in two Middle School Grade 8 classes that have been working on a Science topic of our own choosing.
First, we chose a topic and then we had to create our own wiki page that demonstrated our understanding of our topic. We had to show Higher-Order Thinking Skills as seen in Blooms Taxonomy. -
