Needle NetThe River City Project is a virtual reality environment; your students get a chance to act like environmental scientists and find out what is wrong with River City. Everyday students would collect artifacts, clues, and develop hypothesis's which solve the environmental issues that are related to the health problems of the people within River City. At the end, they need to develop a hypothesis, and write a letter of recommendation to the mayor which is based on the data they have collected. There is a nominal fee.

Students work together in small research teams to help the town understand why residents are becoming ill. Students use technology to keep track of clues that hint at causes of illnesses, form and test hypotheses, develop controlled experiments to test their hypotheses, and make recommendations based on the data they collect, all in an online environment.
