A cursory search under “headphone management” will bring up virtually hundreds of products. Spoolee’s novel contribution to the category is a twig adrift in an ocean of competition. This seems like a small and unusual product for us to cover but there are three things that make this product stand out and that are worth mentioning:
Skype has been talking about, and demoing, its new real-time translation software for Skype for a while now, but users will begin getting first-hand experience with the tool as of today. The Skype Translator previewprogram begins welcoming its first participants into the fold, based on sign-ups to the Translator preview page we told you about in early November.
"NASA’s Orion spacecraft is built to take humans farther than they’ve ever gone before. Orion will serve as the exploration vehicle that will carry the crew to space, provide emergency abort capability, sustain the crew during the space travel, and provide safe re-entry from deep space return velocities. On December 4, 2014, Orion will launch atop a Delta IV Heavy rocket from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station's Space Launch Complex Flight Test on the Orion Flight Test: a two-orbit, four-hour flight that will test many of the systems most critical to safety. To celebrate this step in human space exploration, we have curated some of PBS LearningMedia's best space exploration videos, interactives and lesson plans to make it easy to bring your students along for the ride."
"We came across this video this morning in our twitter feed, and after watching it multiple times ourselves, it is just too good not to share."
Good news- for Docs users!
"This launch adds the ability to merge the cells of a table in Google Docs. Merged table cells can span more than one row and/or column.
To merge table cells, highlight the cells to be merged in your table and select Merge cells from the Table menu (or right click and select Merge cells)."
"IMSA is now offering an in-depth, online course in organic chemistry that prepares high school students for the chemistry courses that even future doctors and scientists can struggle with in college.
"Today we dug into creating two design solutions for Quest Academy. We also had a chance to break in our new Thunderstorm Wall, our giant idea write board."
The kids have been sharing this video around. It's actually pretty cool.
"I - am a thoughtful guy. I think about alotta things.
I - am a thoughtful guy. I think alotta thoughts; about alotta things.

This was quite an important topic in the innovation lab this week. Being able to juggle 20 different ideas is an important skill for a student. Helping to build other students ideas UP, rather than break other ideas down is an important part of this process.
"I have been asked to elaborate on my understanding of the SAMR model, a model written about extensively by Dr. Ruben Puentedura. This model suggests a structure for the design of embedded technology use in the classroom to have a significant impact on student outcomes.
"Isolated, the words all sound so cliché. Organic. Flowing. Curvy. But set to the backdrop of Chicago's blocky skyline, they assemble a brash thesis on the city's future: The new George Lucas Museum of Narrative Art is a low-slung knoll inside a landscape of towering Lego, an Egyptian pyramid reimagined for the year 2020."

"There comes a point when we have to acknowledge that one-size-fits-all professional development isn’t cutting it. Just as students need to be treated as individual learners, so do the teachers in your schools. And while your district may offer workshops and webinars, there’s another PD resource right at your teachers’ fingertips. It’s open 24-7, connects educators from around the globe, and covers countless topics across grade levels and subject areas."
