• Osoby narcystyczne są skoncentrowane na sobie, ale niekiedy jest to powodem ich znacznego cierpienia, gdyż po prostu nie są zdolne do "wyjścia poza siebie", "zapomnienia o sobie", pełniejszego skoncentrowania się na drugim człowieku.
• Stąd silne wahania samopoczucia - od miłości i samouwielbienia, do samoponiżenia, myśli samobójczych, depresji narcystycznej, poczucia niższości itp.
