After heavy experimentation with every possible alternative to MAMP, I declare myself as having gone full circle. I humbly submit to the uncontested king of stacks.
I forget this isn't the standard Finder behavior until I get on a computer without it and feel like I've been handed a stone axe.
Dethroned
A list of apps that were once critical to my workflow but have been replaced with something better. I leave them here because it is useful to see that after much real world use, I chose a different app.
The CSS editor that could read your mind + the fastest real time preview of any app. In its day, nothing could touch it. Sadly MacRabbit left this app to rot. Updates were few and far between and they show no signs of keeping up with CSS3 to say nothing of preprocessors such as SASS+Compass, Less, etc.
Replaced with SublimeText2 and CodeKit
Transparently interact with remote file systems as though they were local. Replaced Transmit for all SFTP and FTP needs across the board.
