This is a very short article involving the brain development of a tween. The article is part of a Stanford made website that involves wellness and good health. There are many good links on how to lead a healthy life.
This article has three parts that talk about the tween brain from infancy to adulthood. There is an Education Connection link that leads to Learning Brain articles such as whether or not music affects development.

This is a list of 25 safe virtual worlds. It is broken up into to main categories: younger kids and teens and tweens. A link is given for each virtual world listed along with a short description of the virtual world itself. If a child decides to partake in a virtual world, I suggest a parent still checks it for safety and monitors their child.
