They offer information on government policy and changes we can make to help reduce our impact on the environment. There is a great kids section which provides great information in an easy to use and understand format.

The Nature Conservancy provides excellent information which is easy to use and relevant. They explain how we impact global warming and our carbon impact on the atmosphere. They also include a calculator to help us see our impact at home or work. There are resources to help us reduce our carbon emissions also.

Climate Trust is an organization who seeks to offset the amount of carbon produced through fossil fuels and utilize environmentally friendly methods of energy production. They provide funding for projects to help install and utilize systems for powering large scale projects.

This is a great site which contains the Ecologic Footprint of several nations around the world, including major cities. This site also includes a calculator to find your individual footprint. Lots of interesting resources, especially the fact that the United States doesn't participate in this program or initiative!
