She is the first councillor in Warrington to become a dedicated sexual health champion for the NHS.
THE family of a pensioner who died after conracting superbug C-diff have been told there was a catalogue of failures in the care leading up to his death.
At the inquest of 80-year-old Thomas Highton, of Leaside, Halton Brook on Thursday, Warrington Coroner’s Court – filled with Mr Highton’s family and representatives from Warrington Hospital – listened to a consultant apologise on behalf of the hospital for the failings.
As a member of my family relies on the help from the Butterfly Project Group, not only was I surprised but disgusted with Warrington Borough Council, Action for Children and NHS at their decision to withdraw this service.
The Butterfly Group has given my daughter and her family full support, care and advice when they really needed it, not to mention countless trips to Alder Hey Hospital with my granddaughter who has a serious heart condition.
