An article about cognitive impairment. Cognitive impairment occurs when problems with thought processes occur. It can include loss of higher reasoning, forgetfulness, learning disabilities, concentration difficulties, decreased intelligence, and other reductions in mental functions. Cognitive impairment may be present at birth or can occur at any point in a person's lifespan.

In the following section, physical disabilities are listed sequentially, one-by-one, and the associated functional limitations are briefly reviewed. But, it should be noted that in actuality, most disabilities result in more that one limitation. For example, some people with severe cerebral palsy have dexterity, mobility, cognitive, and language limitations. Aging often leads to reductions in vision and hearing. New ways of thinking
New generation of teachers should not consider facts of disabilities in children. It is for the doctors and medical workers to deal with. On the contrary - a more tolerable approach to issues of disabilities should be incouraged at schools as well as other organizations in order to overcome general idea of disability in child, and generate an idea of ability despite of disability.
