Made in a 100% cotton rope dyed 12,9 oz dry denim from Japanese denim mill Kuroki. A top of the line denim quality in a rich blue indigo color with a nice tight right hand twill weave. The Livid Jeans backpocket embroidery is stitched in high quality poly core cotton thread with the bottom part reinforced with ecru lining for more durability. Reinforced front pocket opening, durable ecru colored pocketlining, brass rivets and fly with four brass doughnut buttons.  

The Jakob is a mid rise slim straight fit with a slightly lowered back yoke. It is straight from the hip through thigh and slightly slimmer from the knee to the leg, ending in a 19.5 cm opening.

Everything about these pants is overbuilt, from the 11oz twill used throughout (even for the pocket bags) to the heavy-duty brass zipper to the oversized belt loops to the bar-tacking at stress points. Altogether, a pair weighs in at around two pounds. As soon as I put them on, I knew I'd found my new favorite pants.

-Split cut selvedge – The selvedge is present on the front panel and back the panel shows an overlock stitch. This was done because the denim used for these pants is 47″ wide instead of 30″ wide which is a standard width for selvage goods with weight and construction used for jeans. By doing a ‘split cut’ (this is my term for it) you limit the amount of waste per jean.

Straight cut jean made from 11oz White Oak Cone Denim canvas.
Brown-gold stitching, button fly and leather patch.
Only small runs of each jean are made and each individual pairs' number is hand stamped on the leather patch and signed on the inside pocket.

The UB201 is our tapered fit. Roomier though the seat and thigh and tapers down to a narrow leg opening. Made from 100% cotton sanforized 15oz Japanese rope dyed indigo selvedge raw denim.
