Tim Rogers's List: Jazz ('Fit') versus Yaris

• • this seems to be the big thing with the Yaris, the centre mounted speedo etc. Some people love it, some hate it

• Another thing I'm wondering about is whether Honda's "Safety for Everyone" policy will apply to the Fit. I suspect it will, since in the US market the Fit is supposed to compete against Scion. That will be a huge plus in favor of the Fit, since the Canadian Yaris has shed ABS as a standard feature and doesn't have side or curtain airbags even available.

• As far as I'm concerned, the Fit's flexible internal configuration seals the deal. It has so much more capacity than the Yaris. It was a pretty good drive too. Felt agile and well poised.

• • so, bigger and same weight. It appears that 5 doors for both means the Yaris is much heavier. Interesting to see a 0-100 comparison
