  • Dropbox is £74 for 50Gb; sugar sync is £62 for 60Gb. So about average.
    Apple could make it a lot cheaper than these guys if they wanted to cause they own the server farms

• You can't create iWork files using the iCloud web interface

  • Of course this would be annoying for windows users, although you can download, modify and upload back in. Still annoying, but Apple doesn't really care.
    I don't think this is a move to push sales of Pages, etc, it's just a better implementation for Apple users.

  • An interesting move from Apple. leaves behind their initial google docs-like implementation.
    I think this is much better. Let's face it, when you access the site, you're going there with some sort of a computer. Is it not better than having to edit the stuff in a browser?
• documents you create will appear almost instantly on each app's respective webpage. From the Keynote tab, you can view and download each presentation as a Keynote file, PDF, or in PowerPoint format. Pages documents can be downloaded as Pages files, PDFs, or in Word format, and Numbers spreadsheets can be exported to the desktop version of Numbers, PDF, and Excel.
• AppleInsider also notes that Apple is actively recruiting for an iWork web developer which could indicate they are working to further expand their web support for the iWork suite.

• iTunes TV Shows: Purchase your favorite TV shows directly from the iTunes Store, and watch the shows you already own

  • It is obvious that this will be the case for video soon as well.

    Our Apple TVs don't even show a TV Shows section.
    And the service of streaming downloaded shows is not available in any device in the UK.

  • • This is basically an extension of the music solution in iCloud. Go anywhere, with any device, and you're purchases will be there. An obvious evolution of the service.
• Vimeo: Browse and play videos from Vimeo, access your video inbox, and mark videos you want to watch later.
• users can also re-download TV shows via Apple's iCloud service through the iTunes desktop software, or iTunes on iOS devices.

• • what was the problem. I would argue, they would sell more if the preview was full.
    Look at youtube. When I really like something I will go and buy it even though I could see it all on youtube. Guess what...if it was not there or only tiny bits of it, I would not be sucked in.

• • Looks fantastic. You can have a chat box over the video call. It uses the same UI has the iPad Facebook app, mail or many other apps wi a column on the left hand side. 
• Two-way video calling is enabled for iPad 2 users, while first-generation iPad owners will only be able to receive video. Video calling requires iOS 4.0 or above. Skype calls can placed over Wi-Fi or 3G.

• Swedish 3D mapping company C3 Technologies appears to have been acquired in July.
• C3's website has since been completely shut down though portions of it remain in Google's cache.

  We have promised not to say who the buyer is. But there are no Chinese or other Asian companies. It is a company in the Western world, says one of Saab today after the deal is worth 1 billion.

• According to Net Application's NetMarketShare data, in the last two years, Microsoft's IE has slipped from nearly 67 percent share to just 52.8, while Firefox use has slipped slightly from almost 23 percent to July's reported 21.48. Google's Chrome as exploded from 2.84 percent to 13.45 percent, while Apple's Safari share has nearly doubled from 4.07 percent to 8.05 percent.
