I think it would be great. Apple could really make some damage in the Android world. But how would apps work? Putting 960*640 on smaller screen would be expensive.
Virgin mobile is a MVNO. That gives you an idea what Apple wants to do here. They would become kind of a network themselves, but would not own a frequency allocation.
but the idea that phones are locked is ludicrous. Think about buying a TV and then being tied to Sky for two years. Stupid!

This is great. I'm glad for Nokia. They's OS was contributing next to nothing for innovation. Windows Phone 7 is a great OS, this might help it grow to the numbers it deserves.

engadget had video displaying Apple TV wiggles. But that could be only for podcasts or something.
this could simply mean n extension to airplay that would enable you to play games on iphone and watch them on big screen.
Ping would kill online streaming games I think.
