I don't view PC world as the best retail experience around. It's just another store with a bunch of alleys.
Strange that Apple went and got somebody from the outside.

I think this update sorts out the main complaints of FCPX. Why they did not wait and release the thing now, we will never know.
This is better than anything Tim could have said. That NYT story backlashed!
Apple employee input during the Q&A of an Adam Lashinsky interview, the author of “Inside Apple” (which I recommended on episode 107 of the Talking Apple podcast), at least some new hires go on to work on fake projects before they are put on the real stuff.
This is what he says: ”A friend of mine who’s a senior engineer, he works on — or did work on — fake products I’m sure for the first part of his career, and interviewed for 9 months,” the employee said. “It’s intense.”
to be honest, with their kind of money, you would have to be stupid not to do this.
The reason why we will not see this any time soon is not because of Steve not being here, it just does not make business sense.
It sounds to me like a bad idea to have two file systems in the same OS. It's difficult enough to do a simple update to the OS, let alone messing with such a deep part of the infrastructure.
all for just under £650
in under 40 minutes
sounds like a lot of app for just £2.99
But I have a feeling this is more of an advertising campaign for Avid on the desktop. There seems to be a clear preference on the appstore for avid as opposed to iMovie.
I'm sorry, but you can't do that. developers can disguise behaviour of sending information in and out. For me, this is more of a: hey look guys, we are doing something about these viruses, seriously! We are!
Gossip land
I love macotakara, but it seems they might be wrong here. I forgive you guys.
Legal Fights
Apple will of course appeal. This seems to affect not just email, but anything that uses Apple's push services like calendar, reminders and more.
Updates
You lose the extra stuff in exchange for some cool visual aids.
I regret having updated and will be going back. Specially the log stuff is very important. One thing is to hide better, the other is to take it away. They should have done it like in Safari, just turns on developer mode and a whole new menu appears. Stupid.
hehe, I think this is just a bug. But come on, move along guys.
