    Inhalt: Mit "Die Tintenfische aus dem zweiten Stock" knüpfte das Autorenteam Ota Hofman und Jindrich Polák an den Riesenerfolg der Kinderserie "Luzie, der Schrecken der Straße" an, in der wenige Jahre zuvor zwei skurrile Knetmännchen für Furore sorgten. Die zehnteilige Serie "Die Tintenfische aus dem zweiten Stock", die 1984 in Koproduktion des tschechoslowakischen Fernsehens mit dem WDR entstand, handelt von zwei Kraken aus Knete, die den Alltag einer Prager Familie gehörig auf den Kopf stellen: Während des Urlaubs der Holans an der ölverseuchten portugiesischen Küste entdecken die Geschwister Hansi (Milan Simacek) und Eva Holan (Žaneta Fuchsová) per Zufall zwei rätselhafte Klumpen, die reden, die Augen ausfahren und sich bewegen können - genauso wie echte Menschen. Aus ihnen kneten die Kinder zwei Tintenfische, die sie "der Blaue" und "die Grüne" taufen. Es dauert nicht lange, bis die Knetkraken die dicksten Freunde der zwei Geschwister sind.

    Für Eva und Hansi steht fest, dass sie den Blauen und die Grüne nicht am Strand von Portugal zurücklassen, sondern sie als "blinde Passagiere" nach Prag mitnehmen werden. Gesagt, getan! Zurück in der Heimat beginnt für die Holan-Kinder mit dem Blauen und dem Grünen eine spannende, aber auch chaotische Zeit. Denn kaum ist die Familie nach dem missglückten Urlaub wieder zu Hause, fängt es im Haus der Holans an zu spuken, Wasserleitungen beginnen scheinbar grundlos zu platzen und allerlei andere kuriose Vorfälle ereignen sich. Und dann wäre da auch noch der größenwahnsinnige Wissenschaftler Professor George (Miroslav Machácek), der die Knetkraken bei Forschungen auf dem Meeresboden gefunden hatte. Nachdem sie ihm entkommen waren, ist er ihnen nun wieder auf den Fersen, weil er herausbekommen hat, dass die beiden Ausreißer Unmengen von Energie erzeugen - damit könnte er ganz Frankreich beleuchte

    • Feb. 14, 2009    Luther holds on to narrow lead to beat Dutch    PELLA—Luther College grabbed a narrow lead late in the first half and made it stand up for a 68-64 victory over the Central College men’s basketball team Saturday. The Norse never trailed in the second half. Central used a 5-0 run to tie it at 59-59 with 2:39 left but Luther’s Zac Ruckebeil scored on a putback to regain the advantage.     Luther (7-15 overall, 4-10 Iowa Conference) was able to withstand a 23-point effort by Dutch guard Miguel Ley (junior, San Antonio, Texas, Judson HS). Ley also had a game-high five assists.    Central (12-11 overall, 6-8 conference) had one of its better shooting efforts in recent outings, hitting 48.1 percent from the field and committed just nine turnovers. Luther held a 32-31 edge on the boards. Forward James Chapline (sophomore, Ogden) had 13 points and forward Loren Liming (junior, Ames, Gilbert HS) had 10 points and five rebounds. Center Zach Cooper (junior, Johnston) had nine rebounds and three blocks.    “We had our opportunities,” said coach Mike Boschee. “When it’s a grind-it-out game like this, it’s going to go down to the wire and we couldn’t get key stops down the stretch when we really needed them. And we missed a few easy shots that we didn’t recover from.”    The Dutch were without starting forward Mark Holan (junior, Fontanelle, Nodaway Valley HS), who was injured in Central’s win at Simpson College Wednesday night. His status for next week is uncertain.
