Sensitive skin is delicate and prone to irritation. Having sensitive skin makes it hard for me to find skin care products that don't cause redness, inflammation, stinging, itching and/or peeling. Makeup is even more of a problem: it needs to be fragrance-free, hypoallergenic and gentle. Products that soothe sensitive skin and reduce irritation are out there, but some can be very expensive. I'm always on the lookout for special savings on skin care and cosmetics. In this blog I share my sensitive skin care tips, personal updates, ways to save money, information on ingredients to avoid, and more.
This is a list of skin care tips for sensitive skin. I've provided the RSS feed link so you can syndicate this content on your own site. The list is free for you to use as-is; it may not be edited except to change the size or number of results displayed.
This collection of beauty and skin care pages is a gateway to information, tips, and reviews in a variety of subtopics. Find gentle, effective ways to enhance your natural beauty. These skin care solutions for adult women will show you how to: keep dry or sensitive skin healthy; create your own organic skin care for face and body; choose and apply makeup for face, eyes and lips; treat adult acne and rosacea; manage signs of aging; and explore your inner beauty.
Is your skin often irritated, red, inflamed, itchy, or sore? Do you have trouble finding skin care and makeup that doesn't sting? If your skin is chronically dry or acne-prone, does the problem seem to get worse when you try to treat it with over-the-counter skin care products? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, you might have sensitive skin.
To some degree, everyone's skin is sensitive. That's why even the most basic skin care routine should include gentle cleansing once or twice a day, regular sun protection, and extra moisture or oil control as needed.
For some of us, though, sensitive skin is a more severe and persistent condition. Allergic reactions, certain chemicals in skin care products, and environmental irritants are a few things that can be especially troublesome for people with sensitive skin.
Sensitive skin needs specialized skin care: hypoallergenic, fragrance-free products with no harsh chemicals. This page features sensitive skin care tips, recommended skin care products for sensitive skin, an introduction to organic and natural skin care, and the story of how I learned to treat my skin with compassion.
