Who We Are:
Mount Baker Theatre is a thriving performing arts center located between Seattle, Washington, and Vancouver, British Columbia, with a total annual operations budget of $2.8 million. We are both a roadhouse and a producing organization, and program for artistic value and sometimes just for fun entertainment value. We rent our facilities to many community organizations that present theatre, dance, and other performing arts each year. The Theatre is a beautifully restored and theatrically updated venue built in 1927 as part of the Fox movie and vaudeville circuit. It includes a 1500-seat Main Stage Theatre (the largest performing arts facility of its kind north of Seattle), the Harold and Irene Walton Theatre (a versatile black-box performance space), and the Encore Room (an intimate space perfect for small performances, business meetings, and private parties). Our loyal and dedicated supporters have contributed to our 15-year record of growth in both attendance and revenue. In addition to those donors, advertisers, members, and volunteers (who donate more than 13,000 service hours each year), we credit a staff that is lean, hard-working, cross-trained, fun, and enthusiastic for our success.
