Facebook has announced that it will soon add new international currencies, as well as more alternative payment methods for purchasing Facebook Credits. This will help developers monetize more effectively around the world, especially in Asia and Europe.
Facebook has also announced that developers will now receive daily, line-by-line summaries of all the Credits transactions on their apps. Developers will also be moved from a monthly to a bi-monthly payment schedule, with the payment delay reduced to 21 days.

Facebook has publicly announced what many developers already knew to be the case: Credits, the company’s virtual currency for canvas applications, will be the only payment method that Facebook allows canvas applications to use for virtual goods. Facebook is testing a new feature called Buy With Friends to give users social incentives to increase their purchases of virtual goods from games on its platform, said Deb Liu, Facebook commerce product marketing manager, at the Inside Social Apps conference in San Francisco today.
The program will encourage users to purchase virtual goods that their friends have already bought.
At the Facebook f8 conference earlier this year, founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg unveiled Open Graph as “the most transformative thing we’ve ever done for the web” and with that announcement, the disparate strands of the world wide web became more tightly woven.
