This site is very rich with information. There is a cool idea about following the coverage of the Iditarod with students. There is a link to National Standards and State Standards by search. Professional Development and groups to join such as Teacher Survival Kit.

I will use this in my classroom when I want to search for new lesson plan ideas. I will use this when I seriously need to cry on the shoulder of another teacher who's been there, done that, by participating in some of the teacher groups available to join. And I love the idea of following the Iditarod as a class. Math lessons are posted around the Iditarod too!

Wow what a crazy site. This is a site for students to build a boy or girl with whacky body parts from animals or humans. ELL's could be very comfortable with this as it's self timed and has names of body parts for review. This is a simple site and has a link at the bottom to visit 5 different zoos. No doubt a promotional tool for the site. Some of the links to body parts and backgrounds are mismatched so it's a surprise when you click on trees and get water for a background.

I would use this in my classroom as a motivation for students when they have been trying very hard in class and need a break. I would use this as an alternative lesson plan for my ELL's or unique learners to review body parts and go at their own pace.

Students can create and maintain their own blog within the classroom community. Teachers can check blog from anywhere anytime. Students learn and practice online etiquette, civilities, create an e-portfolio and share classroom discussions with classmates. Easy log in, no ads, easy to locate classmates.

I would use this in my classroom to teach students about blogging, online civilities, and to assess student writing. I would use this for younger students who are learning about the online atmosphere. I would use this for older students for great online discussions and to view student work such as podcasts or digital stories. I would use this as a place for students to place, into their e-file, digital stories, slideshows, and artwork. Students can show their parents or guardians, friends, and relatives what they've been doing in their classroom. I would include this as part of my student/parent or guardian conference as an example of student work.
