This is amazing clip art for all subjects. Very child friendly, endearing drawings which are colourful and go far beyond the usual "serious" clip art we use from Microsoft.

A simple concordance tool that provides synonyms (nouns, verbs), words that sound kind of like the word you are looking up and rhymes. Application for elementary students for word games, to use as a reference or for students who want to enhance their writing with strong synonyms.

A free tool that you register for. It removes the clutter from a webpage so it is easier to read (no ads, pop-ups, etc.) Ideal for kids who would benefit from a cleaner page that would be easier to read.

Classics (Alice in Wonderland), fairy tales and some new stories written for this site are among the audio stories that are available. One new audio story is posted each week. The narrator, Natasha, has a delightful voice. The text is available but it is NOT presented in a child-friendly format (e.g. a book with pages to turn). Users can register to receive the story of the week. Can be used with ipods.\n\n

Do-It-Yourself Web Comics. This site offers amazing flexibility to personalize comics, characters, adjust small details, choose colours, develop backgrounds, etc. The free level offers a basic comic creator and the membership or school account offers more sophisticated tools. Students can create their own digital posters using mixed media. A marvelous way to share what they've learned.

A new website in beta testing. It allows teachers to generate and personalize their own worksheets from math, to language arts, to science to geography maps to customizable graphic organizers. You can design your own grid paper, design a spelling/vocab. assignment or create a PMI chart for your students with the amount of rows and columns you want.
