Virtuoso Project
TILT has just commenced its participation in a new project called VIRTUOSO, an acronym for Versatile InfoRmation Toolkit for end-Users oriented Open Sources explOitation. TILT´s role will particularly focus on the privacy, ethical and legal aspects concerned in the project.
The objective is to map and analyze the legal and ethical constraints that need to be taken into account in the technical design of the infrastructure and toolkit and subsequent use thereof, thereby ensuring the social and ethical-legal embedding of the architecture and toolkit developed by the project Virtuoso. Additionally, TILT´s contribution will be to evaluate end-user requirements by conducting a stakeholder (including citizens and interest groups) evaluation.
Dr.Colette Cuijpers is project leader and she will be assisted by several other members of TILT´s staff.

The LiSS Working Group sThe scientific work of the programme is sub-divided into four Working Groups, each of which is responsible for a coherent intellectual domain and the definition of specific research questions. The Working Groups act autonomously and independently but in accordance with the general strategy of the programme. Each Working Group meets twice a year and is led by a Working Group coordinator.

Cameratoezicht vindt niet alleen plaats met als doel het handhaven van de openbare orde. Camera’s worden daarnaast breed ingezet om eigendommen en personen te beschermen. Deze vorm van cameratoezicht vindt zijn wettelijke grondslag in de Wbp en wordt ook wel privaat cameratoezicht genoemd.
