• A wiki allows a group of people to enter and communally edit bits of text. These bits of text can be viewed and edited by anyone who visits the wiki.
• That's­ it. What it means is that, when you come to a wiki, you are able to read what the wiki's community has written. By clicking an "edit" button on an article, you are able to edit the article's text. You can add or change anything you like in the article you are reading.
• Where does all the information come from? Is it reliable? What stops people from vandalizing a wiki until it dies?

On the Web, it refers to asking for something one way and receiving the answer another; for example requesting information via speech and receiving the answer on screen.

• A meme is:

   
  • An idea that, like a gene, can replicate and evolve.

• A social networking service is an online service, platform, or site that focuses on facilitating the building of social networks or social relations among people who, for example, share interests, activities, backgrounds, or real-life connections.

• In the early 2000s, the Web became much more personal as social networking websites were introduced and embraced by the masses.
• Social networking websites allow users to be part of a virtual community.
• Thanks to social networking websites, users can share their lives with other people without needing to develop and publish their own home pages.
