This is an excellent gateway for middle school students or students that are just beginning to learn about mythology. The resources and links within this gateway provide general information about mythology, including interactive maps, animated stories, games and follow-up activities to help enhance the learning process.

This gateway provides information for middle school students through the use of encyclopedias, interactive websites and picture dictionaries to give an in-depth, but age appropriate insight into mythology. The resources and links provided in this gateway are engaging and appealing to students, however, teachers beware, the gateway is a bit busy and does have many distractions, including advertisements!

Students who have some background knowledge in mythology can use this gateway by searching "mythology" in the main search bar and receive numerous results that provide a comprehensive guide to topics of interest. Resources include stories provided through electronic text, mythological family trees, original Greek and Roman translated text and art collections. Although some of the resources provided in this gateway are subscription only, there are many resources available without subscription that have been selected and identified by librarians. The resources are clearly marked with picture symbols to indicate that they are subscription only and to indicate that they are librarian selected.
